Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion

Parish First Communion Preparation is a two-year program. Current classes are preparing for First Communion in Spring 2025.

Classes begin September 10th: Spanish Group at 10 am in Clare Hall and English Group at 11 am in School Room 134.

First Communion Preparation for Holy Redeemer Catholic School students will be arranged through the school.

“Sacraments are a visible sign of God’s invisible grace” (St. Augustine).

Preparing for First Reconciliation and First Communion is an exciting time! Baptized children who are 7 years old or older, first prepare for Reconciliation. Together with their family, students prepare for this Sacrament by learning about God’s forgiveness and mercy.

Is your child 7 years or older and not yet baptized?

In this case we welcome your family into the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Although your child is not an adult, they have reached the age of reason in the eyes of the church and need appropriate preparation and instruction for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
