Dear Parishioners of Holy Redeemer:
It is hard to believe that my first time in Portland, Oregon has come to a quick end! I am deeply grateful and honored to have been in your parish and school these past six weeks. Whether it was serving Mass, sharing my vocation story with the students, or serving at St. Vincent De Paul, I have been deeply touched by God’s grace. Christ calls us to friendship with Him and one another, particularly when we gather together every Sunday for the Eucharist. During my time here, I have been warmly welcomed and have encountered the presence of Christ daily in all of you. Your faith in Christ continues to inspire me to deepen my own relationship with the Lord. I am humbled and blessed that you have been able to teach me this lesson.
As I prepare to move to Colorado for the year, please know that all of you are in my prayers. I ask for all you to pray for me as well. With your prayers, I will gain the courage needed to continue my discernment for my vocation. May the love of the Holy Spirit continue to be poured forth into your hearts.
